Set up a practice schedule

The parent who helps her child set a regular daily time for practice will do much less “nagging” than the one who lets the child go to the piano whenever he chooses or whenever there isn’t something else more interesting or important to do. The parent may still need to remind the child, but it will become less and less of an ordeal as the habit becomes a reality.
