Summertime is the best time for piano!!!

Summertime Flex-time piano lessons include nine 45-minute sessions, which you can schedule around any vacation plans. Choose your top-three preferred days and times when you sign up, and I’ll put together a schedule with flexibility for us all.

The summer session extends from June 24th to September 6th and excludes the July 4th holiday. While I do need 24 hours notice for last-minute changes, summertime makes it easier most weeks to accomplish that.

To keep your current time slot for Fall, sign up to hold that slot in the schedule as soon as you know your preferences by July 1st. If multiple students want the same slot(s), I request signup by June 10th. I’ll always let you know if that is the case, as you have first priority for that slot! To contact me, please note my current phone number and e-mail is 781.864.9090 and [email protected].

Pianist: Béla Böszörményi–Nagy

I had the privilege to study as with Hungarian-born pianist who combined distinguished careers in both teaching and performing since his arrival in America. Born in 1912 in Sátoraljaújhely, Hungary, one of his first teachers was István Thoman. At the Liszt Academy in Hungary, he studied piano with Imre Keeri–Szanto and Ernö Dohnanyi, composition with Zoltan Kodaly, and chamber music with Leo Weiner.

A winner of the coveted Liszt Prize for three consecutive years, his first teaching assignment was at the Liszt Academy. After 9 successful years there, Dr. Nagy accepted a position at the Royal Conservatory in Toronto, Canada. Other appointments followed, including Artist in Residence and Professor of Piano at Indiana University, Boston University, North Carolina School for the Arts, and The Catholic University of America.
