For 30+ years, I've taught children and adults students of all ages and assorted levels from young children just entering school to adult beginners and retired professionals. My piano teaching experience includes that of college instructor (University of Alaska, Anchorage), private school adjunct (Dana Hall School Of Music in Wellesley) and private piano teacher (Weston Public Schools, along with my private piano studio).
After earning a B.A. cum laude from Brandeis University, I pursued graduate study in music theory and performance (Brandeis) and was a student of Béla Böszörményi-Nagy. I continued professional workshops and classes at the University of Washington, Seattle and Juilliard. My Most recently, my studies focus on music theory and harmonic analysis.
For very young students, the Suzuki teaching method offers a more interactive approach. It's essential that a parent be at every lesson and at every practice session at home.
