About Me

piano teacher
Most children love music — it is quite natural. Rhythm and movement is second nature to all of us, especially children.
C.S. Lewis

Originally from New England, I've resettled to Metro West Boston (following a 15-year hiatus teaching in Alaska, Seattle and NYC) to join the faculty of the Dana Hall School. Drawing on a plethora of teaching experience and study, I adapt appropriate methods to the distinct learning style of each student.

My experiences range from adjunct instructor for private and group piano classes, to a private piano studio and teacher for an after-school program (Town of Weston). I've had the pleasure to teach hundreds of students of all ages and levels from beginning children and adults to retired professionals returning to music after many years.

Formal Music Education

After earning a B.A. cum laude from Brandeis University, I pursued graduate study in music theory and performance (Brandeis). In addition, I was fortunate to study piano performance for two years with Bela Nagy, award-winning Hungarian concert pianist and educator for Department Chairman at Boston University and Catholic University.
