Upon her return from NYC, Susan joined the faculty of the Dana Hall School of Music in Wellesley, as well as the Town of Weston after-school program. She now instruct students in her own private piano studio and in the town of Weston.

My Early Experience

Her early years include assorted performance and study opportunities: winner of a Young Artists Competition and soloing with a community symphony orchestra and as student at the Interlochen Arts Academy National Music Camp. All these experiences influenced her love of piano playing and her enjoyment of sharing it with others.

Even in high school her enthusiasm was strong when she led a music club that performed at various Homes for the Aged and continues to give back to the community. Susan’s first piano teacher was Alma Canuel (Juilliard School of Music) who first encouraged and promoted her love of music and to whom she attributes most of her success.

We Practice Honesty

It is a privilege to share my life-long love of piano with others. I see children grow and evolve before my eyes, beaming with satisfaction when they find success. Adult students bring equal enthusiasm and they all share how much they enjoy their new and fulfilling challenges.

Education

Her piano instructors included Bela Nagy (Boston University, Catholic University), Seth Carlin (Washington University), Arlene Cole (Brown University), and other stellar music instructors. She studied at Brandeis University in Waltham, MA, and attended training in Suzuki and Dalcroze methods of musical study.

Susan is a member of NEPTA (New England Piano Teachers Association) and enjoys an ongoing collaborating with her colleagues in New England.
