Committed to Excellence in Teaching
A private, and local piano teacher, I ensure that my students learn the basics of piano playing. As both a beginning or transfer student, we discuss the core musical concepts of rhythm, melody, and phrasing as we explore classical piano repertoire.
Some of my teachers have included, Bela Nagy (Boston University), Seth Carlin (Washington University in St. Louis), Guy Urban, and A. Cole (Brown University). Over the years, I've continued to study music theory and teach piano.
Master classes include study with internationally renowned pianists Gyorgy Sebok (WA) and Bela Nagy (OR, I was a student performer).
Workshops include a focus on teaching piano to young children: Dalcroze Eurythmics / Suzuki Method (at Juilliard, University of Washington).
